Even though Social Media is a tool for global empowerment which facilitates multiple communications, it is important for schools to educate their students about the consequences of cyber bullying. They should take a leadership role in modeling strong social media engagement. Examples include sharing of achievements, promoting school events, sharing daily highlights from lectures, hosting conests, and posting resources and homework via social media.
