The Four Essential FREEBIES of Edu Technology
29 May 2012
Here are some FREE resources that are essential for every teacher to have in their back pocket if they wish to become successful at teaching with today’s technology.
1. Dropbox
My students love using Dropbox because they have access to their homework at anytime by simply logging into the Dropbox website and downloading their files. Schools that have a BYOD or 1:1 program will enjoy Dropbox’s FREE apps that are both iOS and Android friendly. Thanks to Dropbox, you and your students can have access to all of your files no matter where they are.
2. iCloud
Thanks to iCloud, you can create dynamic presentations on your Mac and have them sync up to your iPad and iPhone without any trouble. Having all of these documents sync with your FREE 5gb iCloud account means that you will always have the latest version of your files with you.
3. Twitter
As one teacher once said to me, “Think of having over 2 million educators readily available to answer your questions at any point in the day.” This is the power of Twitter.
4. Google
A teacher not harvesting the FREE power of Google is a teacher with his/her head in the sand.
