| Asia-Pacific Regional Network for Early Childhood (ARNEC), launched on 7 February 2009, is a professional network aiming to be recognized as a "center of excellence" for early childhood in the Asia-Pacific region. Through the advocacy, capacity building initiatives, sharing, creation and dissemination of research and knowledge with member countries, ARNEC aims to promote positive and tangible changes in early childhood environment, contributing to the realization of the potential of the young child across all member countries in the region.
With Swiiit, CommonTown’s trademark web management system, ARNEC was able to customize, manage and expand their website with the ease.
In response to the organization’s request, CommonTown offers ARNEC various tailored features: Membership application that auto-mate the updating/renewing process for ARNEC membership list; its key functions include the ability to generate mailing lists and export into CSV format, plus an email notification feature that sends updated mailing list to administrators on a pre-defined scheduled. Adapting to the needs for a dynamic sharing culture, a passcode-protected online forum offers threaded-based discussion for registered members. Lastly, packaged in the custom suite is a Tagging module for uploading of resources, attached with an admin panel from which the webmaster can manage resources and contents. |
